Valid Ballots

A federal court in Pennsylvania ruled that 311 mail-in ballots challenged by Republican state Senate candidate Nicole Ziccarelli are valid and incumbent Democrat Jim Brewster lawfully won the race. Ziccarelli said the ballots should have been thrown out because the voters did not write the date next to their signatures.

PITTSBURGH — A federal court in Pennsylvania ruled that 311 mail-in ballots challenged by Republican state Senate candidate Nicole Ziccarelli are valid and incumbent Democrat Jim Brewster lawfully won the race. Ziccarelli said the ballots should have been thrown out because the voters did not write the date next to their signatures.
