Vaccine mandates

NEW ORLEANS — The Fifth Circuit refused to grant the federal government a stay of an injunction blocking enforcement of Covid-19 vaccination requirements against 35 Navy special warfare personnel seeking religious accommodations. The opinion notes the Navy has “granted hundreds of medical exemptions from vaccination requirements” but hasn’t accommodated religious objections to vaccines in seven years.
