WASHINGTON (CN) - The USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is asking for public comment on their list of toxins that may severely threaten animal or plant health in the case of bioterrorism.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture agency also is interested in public comment on the potential reorganization of the list based on the relative potential of each agent or toxin to be misused to adversely affect human, plant or animal health. If the list were in tiers, different security measures could be applied to agents that pose higher risks than others.
