USDA Streamlines|Pistachio Testing

WASHINGTON (CN) - The United States Department of Agriculture has finalized an interim rule meant to streamline mold testing regulations for pistachio nuts from California, Arizona and New Mexico.

The department expects the changes to reduce handler operating costs by providing a uniform and consistent sampling and testing procedure for a mold known as aflatoxin on pistachios.
