USDA Attorney Fee|Award Rate Is Increased

WASHINGTON (CN) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has raised the maximum hourly attorney fee rate from $125 to $150 for covered proceedings initiated on and after March 3, 2001.

This amount applies when attorney fees are awarded to one side at the end of a lawsuit.

The change affects regulations under the Equal Access to Justice Act.
