Unlicensed sports betting in Nevada

LAS VEGAS — A Nevada federal judge, ruling in two separate but similar lawsuits brought by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, ruled against the predictions market companies behind Kalshi and Polymarket, which are allegedly operating illegally in the state by accepting bets from Nevadans without first obtaining a Nevada gaming license. Kalshi and Polymarket removed the regulatory board's claims from state to federal court, but both suits are remanded to state court for want of jurisdiction.
