A Pennsylvania appeals court ruled that a trial court improperly denied Philadelphia electrical union leader John J. “Johnny Doc” Dougherty’s motion to stay a civil action brought by an electric contractor who alleges Dougherty engaged in battery, intentional interference with contractual relations and civil conspiracy while attempting to persuade him to join the union.

HARRISBURG, Pa. – A Pennsylvania appeals court ruled that a trial court improperly denied Philadelphia electrical union leader John J. “Johnny Doc” Dougherty’s motion to stay a civil action brought by an electric contractor who alleges Dougherty engaged in battery, intentional interference with contractual relations and civil conspiracy while attempting to persuade him to join the union.
