A federal court in California granted final approval of a settlement in a class action brought by three immigrant teenagers who were detained by the government, released to a parent or sponsor and subsequently rearrested on largely “uncorroborated” allegations of gang affiliation and detained without hearing in high-security centers in Virginia and California.

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal court in California granted final approval of a settlement in a class action brought by three immigrant teenagers who were detained by the government, released to a parent or sponsor, and subsequently rearrested on largely “uncorroborated” allegations of gang affiliation, then detained without hearing in high-security centers in Virginia and California.
