Ukrainian Hackers Leak |IDs, Data of Journalists

MOSCOW (AP) — A Ukrainian nationalist website has published an email archive with copies of IDs and personal data of Ukrainian and international journalists.

Myrotvorets first raised concern about the safety of journalists when it leaked names and contact information for thousands of reporters who have reported from rebel-controlled eastern Ukraine. Senior Ukrainian officials then praised the publication as a tool to single out those who "collaborated" with the separatists.

The new leak, which allegedly comes from a disenchanted rebel official, was published late Wednesday and contains thousands of emails. Some emails contain photographs and copies of journalists' travel IDs.

The Ukrainian president condemned the May leak, but Myrotvorets was never closed.

Ukraine's deputy information minister, who spoke strongly against the website, resigned earlier this week.
