Uber in Argentina

A federal court in California granted Uber sanctions against an Argentinian lawyer who claimed that the company presented him as its representative in Argentina,but launched its Buenos Aires operations without his help. The court found the lawyer’s complaint was “inaccurate” but he will be allowed to amend it. 

SAN FRANCISCO – A federal court in California granted Uber sanctions against an Argentinian lawyer who claimed that the company presented him as its representative in Argentina but launched its Buenos Aires operations without his help. The court found that the lawyer’s complaint was “inaccurate and misleading,” but he will be allowed to amend it. 

The attorney said he faced public backlash and criminal prosecution because Uber flouted Argentine law.
