U.S. Workers Lose More Ground on Wages

The American worker's income continued its long-term decline in July with a 0.8% reduction in average weekly pay. The main culprit was a nearly full percentage point jump consumer price index for the month, according to a Bureau of Labor Statistics report released Thursday. Over the last 12 months, total private pay dropped by a depressing 4.3% in constant dollars adjusted for inflation.
