MANHATTAN (CN) - The United States on Wednesday returned to Iraq "several pieces of stolen dinner and salad plates once belonging to Saddam Hussein," the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Uncle Sam also returned stolen china that once belonged to Iraq's King Faisal II and his family.
"The Iraqi plates, which were purchased by Creative Time, an art group in Manhattan, were being used by a Manhattan restaurant, Park Avenue Autumn, as part of a creative art exhibition," the U.S. Attorney's office said.
Creative Time voluntarily gave up the plates when it was told they were stolen.
