U.S. Extradites Two Alleged Terrorists, Seeks A Third

MANHATTAN (CN) - Syrian arms dealer Monzer Al Kassar conspired to provide support to a foreign terrorist organization, the Colombian FARC, and so did Tareq Mousa Al Ghazi and Luis Felipe Moreno Godoy, the United States claims in Federal Court. Al Ghazi and Godoy were extradited from Romania this week. Prosecutors seek to extradite Kassar from Spain, where he is under arrest.

They are accused of providing the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia with guns, ammunition and surface-to-air missiles with which to kill Americans, the DEA said in a press release. English media report that Kassar also provided arms to Iraq under Saddam Hussein and to the Contras under the U.S. presidency of Ronald Reagan.
