NEWARK (CN) - Federal prosecutors say Tenet Healthcare Corp. defrauded the government of more than $1 billion by overcharging for Medicare "outlier" claims.
The complaint, which lists 24 hospitals as defendants, contains extensive sections that have been blacked out.
Here are the defendants: Tenet Healthcare Corp., Graduate Hospital, Hahnemann University Hospital, Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital, City Hospital, Elkins Park Hospital, Catholic Health East, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, St. Francis Medical Center, Temple University Hospital, Barnet Hospital, Christ Hospital, Clara Maass Medical Center, Community Medical Center, Hackensack University Medical Center, Kimball Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Pascack Valley Hospital, Raritan Bay Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, St. Peters New Brunswick, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey University Hospital, and Warren Hospital.
