EMPLOYMENT - The 11th Circuit affirmed dismissal of the claims of a secretary at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, who said she was fired because her Seventh-day Adventist beliefs prevented her from working Friday and Saturday shifts. The circuit held that the center offered reasonable accommodations and did not fire or discipline her for three months, even though she stopping showing up for her Friday shifts. Morrissette-Brown v. PATENT - US Filter Corp. claimed that Zenon Environmental's patent for a water filtration system referred to a gas distribution system disclosed in an earlier patent.
