U.S. Blocks Merger Of Boxboard Makers

WASHINGTON (CN) - In a federal antitrust complaint, the United States blocked the $1.75 billion merger of Altivity Packaging and Graphic Packaging International, the first- and fourth-largest producers of coated recycled boxboard in North America. Annual revenue from the recycled material, used to make cereal cartons and similar items, is about $1.6 billion.
