Two Hatfields Face Up To Life In Prison

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (CN) - Two descendants of the famous, feuding Hatfield family were convicted of federal charges of conspiring to burglarize pharmacies and distribute drugs, and causing four deaths from the drugs.

Rex Hatfield, 52, and Everly Hatfield, 48, face up to life in prison at their Jan. 29, 2009 sentencing.

The brothers lived in West Virginia, and led a group that committed 85 pharmacy burglaries in 10 states, including 17 in Illinois and Missouri. They are descendants of the family involved in the legendary Hatfield-McCoy feud.
