LOS ANGELES - Two Long Beach men face up to life in prison after pleading guilty Friday to conspiring to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion.
Roshaun Nakia Porter, 39, and Marquis Monte Horn, 35, pleaded guilty to the federal charge on Friday, the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a statement.
Prosecutors said the men conspired together and with others "to recruit, entice, harbor, transport and provide women to engage in commercial sex acts, using various coercive means to compel the women to engage in prostitution for the defendants' financial benefit."
Some of the recruitment began with Internet ads used to lure their victims into romantic relationships, prosecutors said.
They face up to life in prison at their Oct. 24 sentencing.
