BELLEVILLE, Ill. (CN) - A twirling male stripper dropped a woman on her head during his routine at the "Good Kisser All-Male Revue," the injured woman claims in court.
Damika Swink sued Blackmon's Inc. and exotic dancer James Dunlap on Oct. 28 in St. Clair County Court. Blackmon's owns Club Illusion in East St. Louis.
Swink says she went to Club Illusion on July 13, 2014 for the "Good Kisser All Male Revue."
While Dunlap was performing, he pulled Swink on stage, "lifted plaintiff off the ground and began to twirl when he dropped plaintiff, causing plaintiff to land on her head," the complaint states.
Swink says the fall fractured teeth and injured her face, necessitating continuing medical treatment, and impairing her ability to work.
She seeks damages of more than $150,000 for negligence and is represented by Rachel Lawrence, with Goldblatt Singer in St. Louis.
There was no answer at the Club Illusion telephone when Courthouse News attempted to get comment.
Blackmon's Club Illusion has been the subject of several personal injury lawsuits since 2006, including lawsuits in 2009 and 2014 in which patrons were shot on club property.
