ST. CHARLES, Mo. (CN) - Two Twitter posts have sent to prison a former high school football coach who was on probation for having sex with a 16-year-old girl.
St. Charles Circuit Judge Ted House revoked Reginald Hicks' probation after Hicks made two Twitter posts on Dec. 10, 2010, a day after admitting to having sex with the girl.
Part of his probation was to stay off of social networking sites. Hicks was not to have access to the Internet without approval of his parole officer, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Hicks, 25, formerly of Lake Saint Louis, pleaded guilty to nine counts of statutory sodomy and two counts of statutory rape.
House sentenced him to 7 years in prison for the probation violation.
It was not clear what Hicks posted, but he had previously made posts criticizing his treatment in court.
