TV’s First Hit Show

LOS ANGELES - Kling Corp. claims it owns rights to Bernard Kling's tune, "We Are the Men of Texaco," from TV's first hit show, Milton Berle's "Texaco Star Theatre" (1948-56), and that CBS, Ubu Productions and Paramount Home Entertainment violated copyright by using it on "Family Ties," and releasing a DVD of the show.
