WOBURN, Mass. (CN) - Barry Nolan claims Comcast fired him from his show on CN8, "Backstage with Barry Nolan," because he objected to the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' decision to give an award to Bill O'Reilly. Feeling that O'Reilly "degraded journalistic standards of fairness, accuracy and integrity," Nolan organized a protest and was fired 10 days later.
Nolan claims the wrongful firing violated his civil rights. He is represented in Middlesex County Court by Laura Studen with Burns & Levinson of Boston.
