Trump Submits His Written Answers to Mueller

President Donald Trump has submitted written answers to questions from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, his attorneys announced on Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (CN) - President Donald Trump has submitted written answers to questions from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, his attorneys announced on Tuesday.

Trump said last week that he had finished answering the questions from Muller, telling reporters he had done so on his own.  Jay Sekulow, one of Trump's attorneys, said the questions Trump submitted Tuesday involved "the Russian-related topics" of Mueller's investigation.

Mueller is looking into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and potential collusion with the Trump campaign.

"It has been our position from the outset that much of what has been asked raised serious constitutional issues and was beyond the scope of a legitimate inquiry," Rudy Giuliani, another of Trump's attorneys, said in a statement. "This remains our position today."

The special counsel's office declined to comment.
