MANHATTAN — The Second Circuit affirmed that a lead plaintiff in the putative class action against Flipps Media, a streaming service offering combat sports video content through its Triller TV platform, did not demonstrate that her personally identifiable information was impermissibly disclosed in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act. She sued because the company sold data about her streaming history to Meta, but the information was limited to her Facebook ID and the title and URL of the videos she had streamed. She may not amend her claims.
