Tree-Sitter Takes Fight To Court

OAKLAND, CALIF. (CN) - A tree-sitter sued the University of California, claiming its "extractors" assaulted him and caused him to dangle upside down more than 60 feet in the air as he sat in an oak tree that he claims UC-Berkeley wanted to cut down illegally.

Michael Schuck sued the Regents of the University of California in Alameda County Court, one in a series of legal complaints involving the Berkeley tree-sitters.

He is represented by William Simpich.
