Traveling With Gun Parts

A man was properly convicted for attempting to export defense articles without a license, the Second Circuit ruled. The man twice attempted to fly from the U.S. to Istanbul, Turkey, with several gun parts in his suitcase. 

MANHATTAN – A man was properly convicted for attempting to export defense articles without a license, the Second Circuit ruled. The man twice attempted to fly from the U.S. to Istanbul, Turkey, with several gun parts in his suitcase. 

The man claimed the Arms Export Control Act is so overly broad that it infringes on protected speech, but his conduct did not involve speech or expression.
