Trans student prevails

INDIANAPOLIS — A school district in Indiana must continue to allow a transgender student to use the boys’ restroom as part of a permanent injunction issued by a federal judge in the student’s case claiming that the district discriminated against him based on his gender identity. The judge ruled in favor of the student’s Title IX and Equal Protection Clause claims, but said a jury must determine the amount of damages, if any.
