Trader Joe’s Recalls Pasta That May Have Nuts

(CN) - Grocer Trader Joe's said Thursday it is voluntarily recalling its butternut squash pasta because it may contain tree nuts that aren't listed on the label, according to an alert by the Food and Drug Administration.

California-based Trader Joe's has removed the affected product, "Trader Giotto's Butternut Squash Triangoli," from its shelves, the company said.

The affected product could cause a serious or deadly allergic reaction in people who have a sensitivity or allergy to tree nuts, according to the FDA.

The affected product has a use or freeze by code of 04 16 15 through 01 15 16. Customers who have purchased the pasta are advised to return it to Trader Joe's for a full refund.
