DETROIT — In a federal class action over his Toyota Prius Plug-In, a Michigan man says the electric motor never works when it is colder than 55 degrees. The car is supposed to operate in all-electric mode for up to 13 miles on a full charge, but lead plaintiff Richard Rosenbaum says it works only in the summer, but just for 8 or 10 miles.
