Torture and Murder

An appeals court in California upheld the conviction of Blake Leibel, a graphic novelist who tortured and killed his fiancee in 2016. The victim, Iana Kasian, died of extreme blood loss after Leibel ripped apart her scalp. The lower court did not err in admitting into evidence one of Leibel’s graphic novels, the appeals court ruled.
