Supreme Court overrules Roe v. Wade

Striking down the federal right to abortion, the Supreme Court overruled its landmark precedent in a 6-3 split on Friday.

House sends gun control bill to Biden’s desk

In the wake of the elementary school massacre in Uvalde, Texas, and the racially motivated shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bipartisan gun violence prevention bill on Friday afternoon in a 234-193 vote.

Wall Street finally turns it around after 3 weeks of steep losses

Wall Street pulled ahead for a much-needed win this week, as the past three weeks of losses still weigh on equities and investors expect the Federal Reserve to once again raise rates aggressively next month.

US solider pleads guilty to plotting rampage with neo-Nazi occultists

An Army paratrooper with ties to a neo-Nazi occult group pleaded guilty Friday to charges that he aimed to ignite a race war beginning with a plot to massacre fellow U.S. soldiers in his platoon.

In an iCloud account for Ethan Melzer, authorities found images such as the one at left, titled “Harvest of the Soldiers," a supposed accounting Islamic State group attacks. A knife and a book about a neo-Nazi group called Order of Nine Angles are pictured on the right. The complaint against Melzer notes that skull masks are a "known neo-Nazi symbol."(Justice Department via Courthouse News)

Texas Supreme Court upholds ban on making smokable hemp products

Texas’ ban on manufacturing smokable hemp products is in accord with its long history of regulating cannabis, the state Supreme Court ruled Friday, so there is no vested right to this business endeavor under the Texas Constitution.
