Too Drunk to Spend $44,635 …

PHOENIX (CN) - A Phoenix-area strip club rang up $44,635 in charges on a man's American Express card on a night he was so drunk he can't remember what, if anything, he got for it, the unhappy customer claims in court.

Vincent Pavlovich sued Liberty Entertainment Group dba Dream Palace on March 9 in Maricopa County Court.

Pavlovich claims that when he and "a business associate" visited the Dream Palace on Jan. 16, he was "in an obviously intoxicated state."

He claims that "knowing full well" that he was drunk, the Dream Palace, "an all-nude sexual show-club," got his signature and thumb prints on "multiple charge card slips and other documents ... purporting to establish contracts whereby plaintiff agreed to pay unconscionably exorbitant amounts of money in exchange for 'VIP services' in the back rooms of defendant's establishment."

The complaint continues: "If defendant offered prostitution services to plaintiff in plaintiff's condition - which is entirely possible, given the amount of money taken from plaintiff by defendant, the contracts were illegal, void, and plaintiff is entitled to restitution for all sums paid.

"If defendant did not offer prostitution services to plaintiff, one wonders what precisely was offered to plaintiff in exchange for $44,625.27, the total amount of money defendant charged to plaintiff's American Express care at defendant's establishment in one night."

Pavlovich claims that he was too drunk to enter into any contract that night, and that the Dream Palace and its workers were "abundantly aware of this fact."

He wants a refund of the whole kit and caboodle, and attorney's fees.

He is represented by Greg Davis, of Scottsdale.

The Dream Palace web page, checked Wednesday evening, calls the establishment "Phoenix Gentlemen's Club Extraordinaire - All Nude Entertainment and Erotic One-on-One Private Shows."

The club, whose hours are noon to 5 a.m., adds: "We host the valley's hottest, sexiest women who specialize in erotic entertainment."

It claims it has "young, sexy, erotic nude dancers that are guaranteed to give you an experience that will bring you back again and again. ...

"On-site ATM! All major credit cards accepted."
