Timeshare Settlement

Welk Resorts will pay up to $5.5 million to settle a consumer protection suit alleging it misled customers who purchased a timeshare in its Platinum Program, the San Diego County District Attorney's office announced Wednesday. Customers were led to believe they were buying real estate, that the value of their investment would increase and that they could easily access vacation spots on high-demand dates.
