Timber Companies Want To Log Tongass

WASHINGTON (CN) - The timber industry claims the Secretary of Agriculture cost it millions of dollars and violated environmental law by restricting logging in Tongass National Forest. The Alaska Forest Association claims the feds have "severely and illegally constrained flow of timber from the Tongass National Forest in recent years," and did it again in the 2008 Tongass National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan.
