MANHATTAN (CN) - Federal prosecutors say three "associates of the Gambino organized crime family" have been arrested and charged with a 1998 murder.
Edmund Boyle, 43; Letterio DeCarlo, 47; and Thomas Dono, 34; are charged with the April 28, 1998 murder of Frank Hydell, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Prosecutors say the men killed Hydell to prevent him from talking to law enforcement about the January 1997 murder of Frank Parasole, and "to maintain and increase their standing" in the Gambino mob.
