HOUSTON (CN) - Two Houston women put a man in the hospital with broken bones when they robbed him of Jay-Z concert tickets and ran him over, according to court records.
An officer tracked down Denitra Sherrelle Green and Cessica Darden, both 20, at the concert where they admitted to the robbery, according to a complaint of felony aggravated robbery, in Harris County Court.
The women admitted they met the man at a Starbucks on Dec. 15 to buy the tickets he had advertised on Craigslist, according to the complaint.
Green drove to the Starbucks with Darden riding shotgun and Darden's baby in the back seat. They told the man they couldn't get out because of the baby, and as he leaned in to show them the tickets, they allegedly grabbed them and sped off with the man stuck in the window.
"The complainant begged for defendant Green to stop so he could get off the car but she refused and defendant Darden kicked the complainant in the arm several times to get him off the car," according to Green's charging document.
The man eventually fell off and Green ran him over and sped off, according to the complaint.
The man "suffered a broken left arm, a broken right leg, a broken right hand, several crushed fingers on his right hand, a torn right knee that requires surgery, and severe road rash to his face and body," the record states.
A police officer found the women at the concert in the victim's seats and arrested them.
"Green admitted to driving and did not know why the complainant was hanging on to the car but was too scared to stop," according to the charging document.
It adds: "Defendant Darden admitted to being in the passenger seat but did not know why defendant Green was driving so fast so she climbed in the back seat because she was scared."
The arresting officer wrote that neither woman "showed any real remorse or emotion" when showed pictures of their victim in the hospital.
