The Telephone Pole From Hell

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CN) - A homeowner claims a Consolidated Edison telephone pole sank into a sewer line in front of his house, costing him $9,300 in repairs. Now he says the pole has destroyed the pipe, which the city of Yonkers will charge him $19,600 to repair. He says Con Ed should pay for all of it.

Andrew Werney sued Con Ed in Westchester County Court.
