CLEVELAND (CN) – Four women say they were injured when an elevator dropped from the first floor to the basement of the Cleveland Clinic. After being injured and trapped for two hours, subjected to the continual buzzing of a buzzer, they say, the elevator rose to the first floor, tried to open its doors, then dropped back to the basement again. All the women say they suffered back injuries, and other injuries. They sued the clinic and Schindler Elevator Corp. in Cuyahoga County Court. They are represented by Cassandra Collier-Williams.
