SACRAMENTO (CN) - The owner of the world's biggest clump of emeralds has been sued for $1.9 million in Federal Court. Jewelry 47 of New York claims Larry Biegler agreed to let it sell the "Bahia Emerald," an 840 lb., 180,000-carat conglomerate, for 10 percent commission. It claims that it made a deal to sell the rocks for $19 million to co-defendants Dione Tillman and Elohim Financial, but that Biegler then talked them into forming an investment group to buy it for $75 million, cutting Jewelry 47 plaintiff out of its commission. See complaint.
