Thanks For The Recommendation

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. (CN) - Cenveo, a printing and packaging company, fired a longtime employee for taking approved leave to care for her husband after his open-heart surgery, she says in a federal discrimination claim. Margie Nevitt says her bosses told her: "Your use of FMLA time kept coming up in our discussions about cost-cutting measures. You need to consult a lawyer." So she did.

Nevitt consulted Scott Fortune, who filed the claim. She says she worked for Cenveo for 13 years before it fired her. And she says she was told she was laid off because she had taken FMLA leave.
