BROWNSVILLE, Texas (CN) - A Texas woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with voting five times under five different names in a 2012 primary runoff.
If convicted, 54-year-old Sonia Leticia Solis could be sentenced to 5 five years in federal prison, prosecutors said.
She was arrested in Fort Worth.
An indictment unsealed after her arrest alleges that Solis was a Brownsville resident when she voted by absentee ballot.
She was arraigned Tuesday in Forth Worth and is expected to be sent to Brownsville shortly, prosecutors said.
She also could be fined $10,000.
She is accused of stuffing the ballot box in the July 2012 runoff election for Cameron County District Attorney.
