Teva’s Generic Wellbutrin More Likely|to Cause Side Effects, Class Claims

LOS ANGELES (CN) - A Superior Court class action claims that Teva Pharmaceuticals' Budeprion XL, a generic form of Wellbutrin, delivers the drug much more rapidly, making "less effective in treating depression" and "much more likely to cause certain dangerous side effects."

Also named as defendants are Impax Laboratories and Anchen Pharmaceuticals.

Plaintiffs seek restitution, disgorgement, damages, and an injunction. They are represented by Wayne Kreger with Milstein, Adelman & Kreger of Santa Monica.
