Tesla ‘Autopilot’ problems

SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal court denied judgment to Tesla, which was sued for misrepresentation by a family whose loved one was killed after his Tesla’s partially automated driving system, Autopilot, failed and caused the car to crash into a parked fire truck. The name “Autopilot” is plausibly misleading, as were “Musk’s statements that Autopilot was ’probably better’ than a human driver and that autonomous driving was ‘basically a solved problem.’”
