Tenn. Court Of Appeals

DEFAMATION - The Leaf Chronicle covered the plaintiff's criminal proceedings for aggravated rape and assault charges. An article contained information on the plaintiff's prior convictions and the fact that he was a registered sex offender. J. Clement dismissed defamation claims against the newspaper because the plaintiff failed to offer evidence disputing the paper's truth defense. See ruling.
