AUSTIN (CN) - A teacher says Cephalon's Antiq Fentanyl lollipops, prescribed for excruciating, "breakthrough" pain, made his teeth crack off at the gums. He claims "his lack of teeth interfered with his pronunciation" and gave him an "uneducated appearance," which hurt him in his profession.
Greg Lee Mickley, who has pancreatitis, claims Cephalon was negligent and failed to warn him about the lollipops' side effects. He claims Cephalon had a duty to warn consumers about tooth damage because "other such cases had occurred."
Mickley seeks damages for dental expenses and loss of earning capacity. He is represented in Travis County Court by Lynn Langley of Austin.
