Teacher Says Gannett TV Defamed Him

ATLANTA (CN) - A schoolteacher claims a Gannett TV station defamed him by accusing him of raping second-grade students. Jeremy Bennett claims did not rape anyone, nor was he ever accused of raping anyone, despite the Sept. 25, 2007 report on First Coast News TV, and accompanying article on the Web site Firstcoastnews.com, headlined, "Georgia Elementary Teacher Accused of Raping Students."

Bennett is represented in Fulton County Superior Court by William Langdale III of Valdosta.
