Teacher grants must be reinstated

BALTIMORE — A federal court denied Linda McMahon and Donald Trump’s motion to suspend the court’s injunction that reversed the Department of Education’s termination of grants that promote the quality of teachers and provide incentives to teach in needy school districts. The teaching groups that sued “demonstrated a clear likelihood of success” on their claims, so the federal government must reinstate grant awards given to the groups’ members by the end of the week.
