The Maricopa County Superior Court ruled that the Arizona Republican Party and its attorneys must pay the Arizona secretary of state $18,000 in attorney fees for a failed lawsuit challenging the 2020 presidential election results. The court determined the plaintiff’s legal position was “flat wrong” and that it refused to admit it sued the wrong party.

Arman Abovyan, a former medical director for substance abuse treatment centers in Florida, was properly convicted of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and conspiracy to possess with intent to dispense controlled substances, the 11th Circuit ruled. Abovyan ordered excessive drug testing and prescribed Suboxone to his patients even though he was not licensed to do so.
