Group Sues Austrian Government Over Ski Resort Virus Outbreak

An Austrian consumer protection group said Wednesday it has filed four civil lawsuits against the country’s government for failing to contain a coronavirus outbreak at an Alpine ski resort that has been blamed for thousands of infections worldwide during the early phase of the pandemic.

SeaWorld Passes

A federal court in California dismissed a class action brought by a SeaWorld annual pass holder against the theme park for continuing to collect membership fees while its parks were closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The complaint didn’t identify any specific statement SeaWorld made that would have led the pass holder to believe she would have unlimited access to the parks.

Civil Rights Groups Challenge Feds’ Expulsion of Immigrant Children Seeking Asylum

Three nonprofit groups filed a class action Friday evening against the Trump administration’s controversial use of a Covid-19 emergency health order to immediately expel migrant children out of the country, claiming the children are denied the usual immigration protections in spite of showing no signs of the disease.
