The Ninth Circuit revived a suit brought by a group of landowners against the U.S. over a brush fire, which burned thousands of acres, that ignited during an Army training exercise at the Yakima Training Center in Washington. Suicide Bombing

A federal court in South Carolina denied a military contractor’s motion to dismiss a negligence claim related to a suicide bombing in Afghanistan that injured a U.S. Army soldier. The soldier claims the contractor allowed the bomber to acquire most of the components necessary for the construction of a suicide vest and allowed him the freedom of movement to complete its construction at the base.
